It seems likely that this show is going to run 4-5 seasons at the very least, and get through all the original books. The Witcher was Netflix’s second highest performing original show after Stranger Things season 3 last year, and was the most watched debut series in the service’s history.
As a reminder, Vesemir is not Mark Hamill, who fans wanted cast, but instead Killing Eve’s Kim Bodina. That may include new looks for Ciri and Yennefer, or possibly looks at new characters like Vesemir, who are showing up this coming season. The Witcher Twitter account muses about “ what destiny will bring tomorrow” so we may actually be in for a week of reveals of different characters from season 2.
